About the coffee:
This is one of the coffees we offer thanks to our joint coffee project, a direct and long-term collaboration with coffee farmers in Nicaragua. Brothers Norlan and Uriel are the fourth generation of coffee farmers in the Chavarría family. In addition to the El Progreso farm (10.5 hectares), they also manage the Linda Vista farm (1.5 hectares). Their approach to coffee cultivation shows respect for tradition and a great effort and desire to learn new methods, aiming to improve and produce high-quality coffee. They were even among the first in their region to focus on cultivating and processing specialty coffee. They are not afraid to experiment! They were also among the first to try different processing methods other than the typical washing process for Nicaragua. They first experiment with all innovations and new procedures on a small scale at the Linda Vista farm. What has proven successful on a larger scale is then applied at the El Progreso farm. We are pleased that, thanks to our support (technical and informational) and long-term cooperation within the international project, there is visible improvement in every harvest, not only in coffee quality.
