About the Coffee

This coffee is the result of collaboration with female farmers from Nicaragua, specifically from the COASSAN cooperative in the Jinotega region. It is a Women's Project, one of our international projects in Nicaragua, aiming to create better opportunities for female farmers to trade coffee on the global market, where they would otherwise struggle to establish themselves.

The farmers from the COASSAN cooperative, who traditionally specialize in the "washed" processing method, decided to experiment with the "dry" processing method in 2023, responding to the growing challenges with the amount of water needed for washing. With the help of our colleague Chepe, who manages our international project in Nicaragua and brings extensive expertise to the table, this unique coffee was processed using the "dry," or natural method. It is characterized by an intense and diverse flavor profile, making it ideal for alternative coffee preparation methods, yet thanks to its full body, it also pleases fans of bold espresso. The dry processing method has ensured a flavor that blends rich and complex notes of sweetness, fruitiness, and a touch of brandy.
